So tomorrow is the day to redeem our form. Grays is going to be a tough match, but hopefully all will end well.
I will be listening on the radio relentlessly in the hope that we win. Not for the points necessarily (although that would be nice/ & is the whole point of footy- no pun intended), but for the lads pride and confidence as well.
We need that spark back, and we need it now.
Hopefully Craig will be back to his best, as of late he hasn't been as good as he can be. Whether that was down to his illness I am not sure.
Mitchell will no doubt get a bit more of play to help his fitness, but it's a shame that the incident with Lewis has caused him not to be in the side.
I am scared that someone else will get injured tomorrow. I just think it is going to be another grudge match, which is the last thing we need.
I haven't heard much about Nutter and Martin, but i assume they may play and if not they will be back soon.
AJ has discussed the last couple of matches and he said he was determined to get his clean sheet back and get team spirits up, so hopefully that's the case.
Well, as i said in my title 'come on Boro come on'.
Fingers crossed it will be a happy post on Monday when I come into work!
I had a funny feeling about this fixture yesterday. Partly because I knew there were quite a few of the team out injured/loaned, but also they always seem to have a way of beating us.
I didn't manage to get to the game, but from reports it seemed like a mixed bag. McMahon scored again, which was good and we managed to go ahead twice. So i was quite surprised when Forest Green managed to come back from behind twice, and managed to go on and score 2 more goals.
I know there is going to be reports now of, Boro have lost the title and all that stuff. But it was one game. And we were missing a hell of alot of people. Ok Mitchell was back, but he's still recovering. And with regards to the Cambridge game, again it was one game. I still believe we can do it, we are doing a hell of alot better than last season so that must count for something!
I am still unsure about Tes Bramble. But to be fair to him he hasn't had much play, so he is bound to be rusty right? I guess we will see how that pans out, as it looks like Morro maybe out this weekend aswell.
Next up is Grays... I am sure that is going to be one hell of a game. It was great competition between us and them last season, and its only heightened by the fact that we now have the legend that is Stimmo. Although they have had a season and a bit to get over that!
Hopefully we will win and put us back on the road for top spot. I can't stand the fact Torquay keep scrapping wins to go top!
It was a game that Boro never seemed to show up for. They came out, and everyone knew in the crowd, if we beat Cambridge, then we were to be unstoppable. Sadly, that was not to the case.
There didn't seem to be any flair. Miller, Lewis and Morison worked hard as usual but i just had this inkling it was not going to work out. For starters, Lawrie Wilson started, and he was an unknown to most people. Martin and Nutter were out also. Dobbo didn't really get into the game at all, and I was really annoyed with him, as I know he can play so much better than that. Although I later found it he was sick the night before... so I will let him off.
I was so frsutrating seeing the lads not fulfilling their full potential. I was just praying we would get to half time 0-0. Although that was not to be the case. We went 1-0 down and their fans went crazy. But i knew Stimmo would fire the team up at half time, as usual.
The second half wasn't much better and I began to lose my voice from all the shouting. They were trying hard but it just wasn't working. Then came the second goal. From what i can remember it was another defensive lapse.
I was so disappointed. Everyone was.
Then came our chance. We got a penalty. Excellent. But Lewis, still as young as he is, went crackers at their player. Straight in for the head butt. What an idiot. We had a chance, a chance to get back in the game if Miller scored. And he did. We had to fight with 10 men rather than 11. So angry with Lewis for that. We need him aswell, he's a right little worker.
There were a few chances at the end. But they didn't come through. We lost the game and the clean sheet record. No longer top either. The one positive was that Cole was back, he was brilliant when he came on.
We can't keep beating the lower teams and not the higher ones if we are going to stay top. That was our first real challenge and we blew it. We have a hard October coming up so we need to lift ourselves and get back into our winning streak. Such a shame but its still early days yet.
Onwards and upwards!
Again another great performance by Boro last night. The goals were of such a high quality, it was brilliant.
Morison was back to his best, as he made the first goal his own. The fact that he battled hard to win it back and then scored a great goal following that, showed how hard the lads were working. A great time to score too, with it being about 5 or so minutes from half time.
The second goal was amazing. The build up work was too good. The little pass from Dobbo, then Miller's flick to Morison for his second goal. We knew it was good, as so did they! Dobbo seemed to like it as he was mouthing "what a goal" in his mini celebration to the crowd.
The third was another Dobbo special. His little cut inside and a shot that curled into the back of the net. Superb stuff.
Again Stuart Lewis was a right little worker, so I was pleased he got the final goal. He took it really well, and with it being so late on, it rounded up a great night of football.
The scoreline does reflect how hard/well Boro have been playing, but Farsley did have a few chances that threatened our clean sheet record. Julian as usual doing the honours of saving that! ...literally!
Still top of the league which is good. Shame about Torquay scoring in the 90th minute to win 5-4 against Histon. It would have been great for them to drop some points.
Ah well, onto Saturday. Massive game against Cambridge. I don't think there will be another 4-0 win but hopefully we will do the honours. I don't care how they do it, i just hope they do!
Fingers, toes, legs, head, arms, crossed!!
So its another mid-week kick off for Boro, this time against Farsley Celtic. Despite them being 18th in the league, I think they will prove to be quite difficult. They have nothing to lose in their position, they just need to go for it, and the fact they are new to the conference or should I say Blue Square Premier?, they again having nothing to lose.
I just hope Boro do not underestimate them. I know some of the players will be tired as it has been an unchanged team for quite some time now but, we still have to maintain our top of the league status.
I guess some new faces will appear on the bench as Nutter limped off injured in our last match, and with the incident with Ally someone will replace him.
Speaking of which, for those of you who don't know, Ally John was stabbed outside his home on Sunday night. According to Phil Wallace he is in a comfortable state, but does still remain in hospital. Lets just hope whoever stabbed him gets the justice they deserve.
I am sure we will sing a song for him tonight...
Let's just hope we have another win in our pockets and that it will be a performance that will make Ally proud. (And us, and Stimmo etc)
Anyways best be off.
I will give my verdict tomorrow on how the game went, good or bad. Let's just hope its a happy post!

Here is a video link that I thought you might like of Boro's win at the weekend against York.

Just set up this new blog because I can't contain my excitement about Boro anymore!
The season so far has been great. The team seem to have so much flair and passion for the game this year, its quality!
We are even managing to keep clean-sheets!
The defence is looking like a defence for once. Arber seems to be a great signing, and the fact that he is keeping Gaia out of the team shows we must be onto a winner!
I am so glad I brought my season ticket now, if i hadn't I would have been kicking myself because I still would want to go to every game, so it would have been silly to spend more money!
I'm so glad we are top of the league too. We deserve it. I mean we have been favourites to win the league for so many years now... It's nice to see we are top for a bit, even if it does go pear-shaped [:S] Fingers-crossed and all that.
Anyways best be off...
