R.A.F. Chicksands, info about a street name change Jefferson av. since '70-73

Hi all,
When I was a kid, my dad was stationed at Chicksands for three years. I have many fond memories from there, we came back to the states in '74 when I was 7. Anyway, my Mom says we lived on Jefferson av. Looking at Google maps, I don't see Jefferson av. is it possible that Jeffereson av, was changed to Medmenham av. since 1974? It looks like where we lived from what I can remember. There also seems to be new buildings since then, the playground behind the town homes on Medmenham is gone and a large building in it's place if I have the right location. Can anyone help with this? Thanks! Dave

I live near Chicksands, The New building you can see are the Council Offices for Mid Bedfordshire. About 10ish years ago, after the American base closed and reopened as a UK Military base, they sold a lot of the housing to the public, by doing so various secruity fences were moved to allow public access, so it is possible that there are road name changes.

Sorry I have no further information, but this maybe of interest.
