Bullying in schools

If you or your child has been the victim of bullying at school within the past 5 years and you have been asked to leave the school, or you have found the school bullying policy is out of date and does not reflect the type of bullying that is really happening in the school, I would like to hear from you. Maybe you have found it difficult to use the school complaints procedure or the school has made poor progress in investigating your concerns.

Bullying is often a traumatic experience for the victim and I am genuinely trying to find a way of providing better protection for targets/ victims. Any information would be treated in confidence and with sensitivity. It would help me if you would provide only a summary of the experience with the school handling your complaint and so not neccessarily all the details of the bullying itself. If you have had a positive experience I would also welcome your insight as to why it worked for you.

The only way to deal with school bullying is to expel the bully. Mind you, one can get bullied anywhere, not just in schools. Bullying is intimidation and domination, not just name-calling. The latter can be ignored, the former two cannot.
