Business in the Community Award
This award is open for any company that has made a positive contribution to the local community, economy or environment.
Award Criteria:
Contribution - What project(s) is your company involved in that has made a positive impact on the local community, economy or environment? Give details of the contribution the project(s) has made.
Management practice - Show what effects your organisation has had on the local community through its values, working practices or management practices.
Legacy/ongoing commitment - Give details of the legacy any existing project(s) is intended to have on the local community
Future plans - provide evidence (plans, mission statements etc) of any strategy or future projects your company has planned which will make a contribution to the local community, economy or environment.
Examples of a positive contribution include:
Generating greater employment opportunities locally
Adopting environmentally-responsible working practices
Working with local schools or colleges to involve or inform students in community or environment issues
