Training and Development Award
This award is open to a company that can demonstrate that they train their teams of employees to a high standard.
Award Criteria:
Evidence of analysis - Give examples of recording staff needs, assessments, training plans etc.
Training to match requirements - Show how the training follows a set path within the company? Or is it based on the individual requirements when they are ready?
Training at all levels - Are all staff entitled to training or is it for specific position or levels?
Established pattern or one off - Are there regular ongoing training schemes or are they developed to fulfil an immediate need such as new technology.
Support of local education - Do you have links with local education bodies, such as NVQ's, work experience etc, Do you support local schemes, give talks to schools for careers etc?
Impact on staff - What effect does the training have on staff, what incentives are offered, promotion etc, or is the training itself an incentive.
