HCS was established as a limited company in 1995. It is now recognised as a high quality provider of careers guidance and related careers management services. The company operates a range of successful contracts, including out-placement consultancy, individual vocational guidance, psychometric testing and skills assessment and coaching, and provision of Work Experience. HCS is a significant sub-contractor of information, advice and guidance services for young people for Connexions Hertfordshire, and this includes the successful operation of specialist services such as Access-Ability for young people with learning difficulties and disabilities, careers education consultancy, recruitment services, careers information provision, and management information. The company portfolio has developed considerably since its inception, and now also includes operating as the lead partner for nextstep services in Hertfordshire; acting as a consultant body and training development provider for the provision of information, advice and guidance services within Train to Gain; acting as lead partner for the Hertfordshire Response to Redundancy services and operating as a specialist training provider for young people with Asperger’s syndrome and emotional and behavioural difficulties under our Stop Gap brand. We work across all aspects of education and employment, supporting both educational providers and employers in a range of activities. Two key examples of this are our specialist provision of vocational guidance and rehabilitation return to work support for people who have acquired a disability (Return to Work Solutions) and the provision of Careers Education and Guidance curriculum development and co-ordination at a range of secondary schools.
