Oaklands College hosts its annual Jobs Fair, with more than 30 businesses, colleges and academies on hand to discuss employment opportunities and offer career advice.

Among the businesses holding stalls are the WHT’s parent company Archant Herts and Cambs, as well as big Hertfordshire employers such as Tesco, Ocado and the county council.

It is the first time the fair has been held in WGC, at the college building on The Campus.

The event is free to attend, and will run from 10am to 4pm.

College principal Zoe Hancock said: “We are delighted to be holding our first jobs fair in WGC.

“To have the support of more than 30 employers, including national organisations offering employment opportunities that will really benefit the local community, is fantastic.

“I hope that people looking for a job take the time to come along.

“In addition to the jobs available there will be career guidance, CV writing support and of course we will be available to discuss education and training needs.”

  • Went to the jobs fair this morning, was VERY disappointed. The employers there were looking for apprentices, or there more training schemes which are main aimed at the younger generation.......SO MUCH FOR A JOB FAIR
