Voting and Judging

Below is an outline of how the entry, voting and judging process of the Herts24 Web Awards will take place.

  • January 2007: The Herts24 Web Awards in association ith Beechwood Homes are launched online.
  • January 17/18, 2007: The Web Awards are officially launched via our printed publications and entries are invited from the public.
  • Every entry will be reviewed by a member of the Herts24 web team for eligibility. If accepted voting code will be sent to the entrant for inclusion in their webpage.
  • All entrants will receive a Frankie & Benny's 'Buy one get one free' voucher.
  • All accepted websites will also be profiled on www.herts24.co.uk/webawards
  • February 23, 2007 @ 10am: Deadline for final entries.
  • February 23, 2007 @ 4pm: Voting opens. All entrant's voting buttons will become active and voting will also open on www.herts24.co.uk/webawards
  • All voters will be asked for their name and email address, their IP address will also be recorded to avoid duplicate votes from the same user.
  • All voters will be entered into a prize draw which includes a top prize of a pair of Virgin Balloon Adventure Flights worth £570 and 20 runners up prizes of a Website Boffin Website in a Wallet worth £63.45 each.
  • March 16, 2007 @ 12 Noon: Voting closes on www.herts24.co.uk/webawards. All entrant's voting buttons will disable.
  • Votes are counted. The five sites in each category which receive the most votes will be short listed for judging.
  • March 16, 2007 @ 4pm: Awards shortlist announced online.
  • March 20, 2007: Voters prize draw will take place and winners will be notified. A winners list will be available on www.herts24.co.uk/webawards.
  • March 21/22, 2007: Shortlist announced in our printed publications.
  • March 23, 2007: Web awards judging panel meet to decide the overall winner of each category as well as winners of each of the additional awards.
  • March 30, 2007 @ 12 Noon: Winners will be announced at the Virtual Awards ceremony hosted by virtual host, Miranda Fox, on www.herts24.co.uk/webawards.
  • Winners will receive a winners rosette to place on their website. Award winners may state in advertising / promotional activities that they are winners, but must include the category and the year in which the award was won.
  • April 4/5, 2007: Winners profiled in our printed publications.
