MUSICAL Guys and Dolls plays at the Wyllyotts Theatre in Potters Bar after Easter.
DO you fancy polishing up your New York accent, honing your gambling skills and soaking up some all-time favourite musical numbers – all at the same time?
If so, why not mosey on down the sidewalk to the Wyllyotts Theatre, in Darkes Lane, Potters Bar, between Tuesday, April 17 and Saturday. April 21, when Potters Bar Theatre Company presents the classic Frank Loesser musical Guys and Dolls.
Based on a Damon Runyon short story and featuring songs such as Luck Be a Lady and Sit Down, You’re Rocking the Boat, the show focuses on Nathan Detroit, organiser of the oldest permanent floating crap game in New York.
He bets fellow gambler, Sky Masterson, that he can’t make the next girl he sees fall in love with him.
That happens to be Sarah Brown, a devoted member of the local Salvation Army. Let the fun begin!
There are performances each evening at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinée at 2.30pm.
Tickets cost £15 adults, £10 students (under-18s), £12 senior citizens (Tuesday evening and Saturday matinée only).
