It is more than a quarter of a century since The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem were last heard singing together but their memory lives on as Ireland’s greatest-ever musical export.

The Arena show, narrated by Cathal MacCabe, features The Kilkennys who are renowned for their musicianship and vocal ability. They have gained a reputation for revitalising traditional Irish music and adding their own touch of youth and energy.

Made up of Adam and Davey Cashin, Tommy Mackey and Robbie Campion, they have toured all over Ireland and further afield in the past 12 years and were recently signed to Dolphin Discs, a record label long associated with Irish music boasting such names as The Clancy Brothers, Shane McGowan and The Dubliners.

The Science Museum takes to the stage for the first time with a family theatre show which is coming to the Arena during half term week.

In an entertaining live show, science, demonstrations and experiments will burst on to the stage. Featuring interactive sets with pyrotechnics and digital projects, the action will be interspersed with web cam footage from inside the Science Museum as well as exclusive footage of some of the nation’s scientific treasures stored at Wroughton in Wiltshire and Blythe House in Kensington.

The show is inspired by the hugely-popular interactive galleries at the Science Museum and introduces the work of some of the world’s greatest inventors and scientists from Sir Isaac Newton to James Watt.

Science Museum Live on Tour! can be seen at 7pm on Tuesday, February 22, and 2pm on Wednesday, February 23, and tickets are £12.50 with a family ticket at £45 and group tickets for 10-plus at £10 each.
